Benson slept through most of his first Zoo experience

She's going to miss her Uncle Keenan. He is one of her best friends.

We just got back from the zoo.... LONG DAY! David had to work so the kids and I went with dad and Keenan. It was fun. But, I'm glad to be home. We didn't get home until 10:30 pm (about 15 min ago). There was some serious road construction on I-5 that held us up for well over an hour. We got out of the car and walked around. That was a first, to be walking around on a major freeway. But, it quickly lost it's novelty as I had to hold Benson to keep him asleep and it was getting late. Annika didn't fall asleep until the last 10 minutes of the drive. She was pretty happy the whole time though. The kids were actually great, considering the long day we had. She had fun at the zoo. I love watching her get excited about things she sees. She really liked the warthogs, which was kinda weird. It was fun to be with Keenan for one last outing before his mission.
