Today we went to the radiology department at Othello Community Hospital... and we were able to see our sweet baby! It was one of the sweetest moments of my life to see that little baby moving around. We couldn't believe how short the time was from when we walked in the room until we were seeing our baby on the screen. I am just about 12 weeks along. I didn't realize we would be able to see so much of our baby during the 1st ultrasound. We saw its facial profile, the defining space between its tibia and fibula, its legs and arms moving around, and its heart beating (163 bpm). It was incredible to see it stretching out and moving all over. It looked like it was waving to us at a few times. I'm in love. I love that today is Valentine's day and the 1st time we saw our little one.
It's also a major relief to know that everything looks healthy and the heart is beating. I feel like I'm really pregnant now:)
We brought home two pictures of our little baby Beus. I will scan one and post it soon. I can't wait to see it again next month!
We just got home from a delicious dinner at Checos- both to celebrate V-day and our 1st ultrasound. What a wonderful day.
Sounds like the perfect day! I'm glad you got to see your little baby & that everything is going well. It's always such a precious moment having an ultrasound or hearing the heart beat!!! :) Congrats again! And it was good to see you last week!
