The following post will probably appear as though I am bragging about my extremely athletic husband. I am.
David played on a BYU intramural flag football team this semester. It was really fun to watch him! His team was supposed to wear orange shirts. Because he does not have an orange shirt, he wore a red shirt for most of the games. I wasn't able to go to the first few games because of work. When I found out they were supposed to wear orange, I dug this t-shirt of mine out. I got it at a thrift store in high school. It's a youth medium. We had to make slits on the undersides of the sleeves, but I think it looks pretty good on him! He only wore it for one game for some reason.
The last 2 weeks have been the intramural tournament. David's team made it all the way to the championship game. Last Tuesday, we went out into the cold, rainy night for his championship game. One thing you should know is the seriousness of championship intramural games. At BYU, it is more than an honor to win an intramural champion shirt. David has participated in several intramural sports throughout his career at BYU:) Never has he won an intramural shirt... until last Tuesday night! His team played awesome and they won 26-6. It was so fun to watch. David has worn his shirt every day since Tuesday. He actually hasn't. But, he is very proud of it and so am I!
David in his Champion shirt. It says "The most coveted shirt on campus" on the front. On the back: "Thou shalt not covet." We think the words are kind of silly. But, he is still proud to wear it!
i don't get it...why wouldn't he wear the orange shirt more than once? ;)

Wow, Molly lucky you to be married to a champion! David looks mighty and magnificent in his winner's shirt. David now you can leave BYU totally fulfilled - a wife AND an intramural championship shirt! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteHey I am glad you found our blog so we could find yours. I also love David's Orange shirt (I will have to show Scott this post). Scott wanted an intramural championship shirt (from BYU-I)the whole time he was in school and never got one. He is going to be jealous. Congrats David!

I seriously laughed my face off David! I'm not coveting the championship shirt, I'm coveting the eremhsaC reccoS shirt! All joking aside, can I have that orange shirt Molly? Maybe you'll get our name for Christmas so you can give it to me. If not, I will steal it from you when you move here....your choice!
