| My high school bestie, Stephanee (Schroeder) Newman, came to visit with her kids for a morning. It was so nice to catch up with her. She has two kids, ages 3 and 18 months. They stayed for lunch- ham sliders.
We are so blessed to have wonderful people love our children. Dena has been so good to our family. We love her!
We were so glad Papi could come for Esther's birthday!
Papi took the kids to McDonald's to celebrate their birthdays for this year!

| I just had to take a picture. This is what shopping with all four kids looks like. I try to avoid taking all of them because it's a little chaotic. haha |

| we were able to go to Annika's Time Out Pizza Field trip. Each of the kindergartener's got a piece of pizza. There wasn't enough for Esther and Benson. The owner was so nice and made us another mini pizza. But, that meant we had to wait a little longer. The students were done and ready to walk back to the school before E and B finished. It was a pretty hot day for this spring. Luckily, Tyson slept the whole time in his stroller. But E, B, and I sure struggled to get back to the school. They were thirsty and so hot by the time we got back to the car. I just wasn't prepared. I felt like very irresponsible, not having sun screen on the kids or water bottles. But we survived- after lots of complaining and breaks in the shade. :) |

| One night, Brandon and David were both busy (B was probably in MT and D was at tennis). So Janelle came over and we did a hot dog roast. It was a perfect night with all these cute kids! |

We just finished mega birthday week! I was stressed at the beginning of the week. But the birthday celebrations were low key and it was a fun week.
Esther's birthday was on Memorial day this year. Papi and Keenan were here for the weekend. Papi took the kids to McDonald's for breakfast on Esther's bday. Then they came home and opened Papi's presents. He gave Esther a slip n slide, which they tried out at 10 am. It was a blast watching them figure it out. The first time down Esther sort of tip toed down. Annika walked down. And Benson went all out as he ran and dove down. We gave her some donut socks, smarties, and a train duploe set (hand me down from the Stokers). David took the 3 older kids to Roylance pond for the afternoon. They had a good time. But Annika had a bad experience with the big water slide. David wasn't ready to catch her at the bottom, so she just went zooming right past him. Good thing she had her floaties on. Poor girl doesn't ever want to go back.
Grandma and Grandpa Stock came over for dinner for Esther's birthday- shrimp and pasta. And Dena, Todd, and Ellie came over for cake. I made her an "E" cake. She wanted red frosting, but that's hard to achieve. It was definitely pink. When she saw it in the fridge she said "I said I didn't want pink cake!" Oh boy. But right before bed she said "thanks for my cake mom." That moment melted my heart. She really is a sweet girl. But she is thick in three-nager stage right now. Lots of emotional outbursts these days.
Benson woke up at 6 am asking where his presents were. He waited sort of patiently while I fed Tyson and then wrapped his presents. We gave him a big vehicle coloring book, a captain america and a seahawks shirt (yard sale finds), batman bucket, star wars bandaids, candy, and body wash. We're really trying to stay away from buying toys. They don't play with them for long and they clutter the house. After he opened the presents, he said "I didn't get very many presents!" We had a few talks on gratitude that morning. Papi got him Connect 4 and a hatching dinosaur egg. We took Annika to school and then went to Lions Park. That was something he'd been wanting to do on his birthday. They love sliding down the smooth cement at the skate park. After school, Heather and her 4 youngest came over. We did a pinata and had mini corn dogs (Benson's request), fried pickles, and chicken caesar salad. I always love watching the cousins play together.
My birthday started out very exciting. I found mouse droppings in the mud room, a few bottom drawers and the pantry floor the night before. So David set two traps. We caught one in a drawer and then saw blood on the floor next to the pantry trap that had been set off. David took care of the dead one in the drawer before work. I spent the next 20 minutes cleaning the mud room and kitchen. I was just starting on the pantry when I saw a lot of droppings in the back corner. I moved a food storage bucket out of the way, and there was a mouse sitting there! Yikes. I was on the phone with Janelle for moral support. I couldn't tell if he was alive. While I was talking to Janelle about what to do, he started walking slowly in a circle. I was freaking out. I threw a box over him and put something heavy on top. Benson was the only one with me and he was very helpful and calm. I got off with Janelle and called David. He came home and saved the day. I was so relieved that he could come home and take care of it. The rest of the day was thankfully better. We went to Annika's awards assembly and she was so darling. She got the student of the quarter award. We came home and I got a good nap, finally. We made sugar cookies for Annika's kinder graduation. Then we all went to Moses Lake for Winco and met my dad for dinner. It was so nice of my dad to meet us there. We went to Teriyaki J's. It's weird to be 30.
