June

We have a red and black back pack. But he must prefer the smaller size of this pink one. It's actually a baby doll backpack and carrier in one. He loves to fill it up with toys and go on "hikes."

Esther did not want to get in the pool this time. She cried when her feet touched the water. But Benson and Annika are sure loving this kiddie pool! We put it on the side of Papi's house near a big tree. So we can put it in the shade if it's too hot. We put the slide across the side of the pool to make a water slide. There is also a rope swing that they like swing over the pool and drop in. Adventurous kids :)

Annika has been holding lots of indoor yard sales and having us pay her "real money." Smart entrepreneur, selling items that she paid nothing for :)

I love this little body!

Making daddy's signature funny face

We went grocery shopping and then met Chandra Raab and her girls at a park in Richland. It was so fun to see her and catch up. She is such a kind friend.

Benson, Annika, and Emily Raab

I am so blessed to have these sweet girls! (and Benson and David too!:)

Another day at Pam's playground

Every year, we take pictures for a Father's Day book that I started on Annika's first Father's day. David loves it. We all love it. I include a short question and answer form about daddy from each kid. For the babies, I write a "why I love daddy" list.

Happy Father's Day! The kids loved hearing daddy read their answers!

Annika has been making these sweet food trays whenever someone is sick or for special occasions (Father's Day). She is a sweetheart.

We went for a morning walk with our neighbor friend, LaRae, and her daughter. We were about to turn up our driveway to come home when the kids said they wanted to go feed the alpaca just up the road. So we headed up the hill to the alpaca. Benson was running and fell down. He got a pretty good bleeder on his forehead. I put him in the double stroller with Esther and told Annika to run with me. We went as fast as we could up our driveway. We went downstairs into the bathroom and cleaned it up a little. He happened to be wearing his 49ers jersey, so no worry of red stains on that. Annika was awesome to play with Esther while I took care of Benson. I eventually took him upstairs to my bathroom and put him in the shower so clean up would be easy. I maybe would have taken him in to get it stitched up, but we had a house showing a few hours later and I still needed to clean. (in retrospect, we could've cancelled the house showing. But, at the time, I didn't even consider that option for some reason.) So I butterfly bandaged it and put a show on for him. He ended up falling asleep pretty quickly (at like 9:30 am) and Esther went down for her nap too. So, it was a peaceful time to clean the house with just Annika awake! I'm sure he will have a little scar. But, it stopped bleeding and seemed to be staying together well. I was proud of myself for staying calm and so grateful for Annika's nurturing nature and maturity to watch Esther for several minutes.

mmm. those blueberry eyes!

the kids are loving having Uncle Matt home from the Navy (I'm positive that Matt is enjoying being home even more).

Annika wanted to take pictures of our long hair. I don't remember our hair being this long!

We had a huge Evan and Alta Beus reunion at Lions Park. It was so fun to have lots of cousins together! Annika, Nathan, Brooklyn, and Brynlee played bad mitten.

The kids loved the tug o war!

pig tail buns. This girl is so cute!

lovin' her style! I love it when she tucks in her shirt.

Esther wears lots of boy pajamas because that's what we have for her 12 month size. She's cute in anything!
