March

I made a yummy moist cake for Gram Pam's birthday. We went over to Papi's for dinner and dessert that night.

he put his own hat on! perfect :)

Benson loves toast. Well, mostly he loves jam. If Annika doesn't finish her breakfast, which is most days, I just leave it at the table and wait for Benson to come finish it a half hour after breakfast. (reminds me of Keenan at his age;)

he is OBSESSED with balls. He was trying to shoot into the standard height hoop in our yard. He didn't get frustrated that he couldn't make it. He usually wants David or me to shoot hoops while he watches and tries to rebound for us.

We took the kids bowling with Papi here in town. It was really fun! Annika used the ramp thing and actually got pretty into it. Benson loved watching the balls come back up.

the crazy pants from Aunt Abby finally fit! She gave them to Annika for her 3rd bday. Annika loves them and wears them every week.

Mark Rowley came over and cut this tree on the side of our house down. It was starting to grow to close to the roof and always drops these annoying fluffy things. We were pretty excited to have it out of there.

Papi let Benson steer the car on the way home from Pam's Playground. Benson LOVES to play in Papi's car. Annika started this tradition. I'm not sure how or why it started, but they both HAVE to play in his car every time he comes. Annika's imaginary friends usually drive them places. And they always get chased back inside by monsters. Papi and Annika come up with some great stories while Benson climbs back and forth in the car.

Minion pajamas! She says she wears them for Benson because she knows he loves Minions. :)

Happy St Patrick's Day! Daddy stayed home sick with a cold that day. He wasn't too miserable to help me out with the kids so it was a nice break for me:) Annika and I made a green cake for our SPD celebration.

They love to use the tools to "fix" things. It's one of my favorite things to watch.

Benson loves to play on the parked lawn mowers at Beusy's house. He didn't enjoy his first ride of the season. But, he has since come to love and beg for rides on the lawn mower.

Annika wrote her name for the first time!! I was so proud. She wrote this without any help from me. We haven't even worked on it that much. She was just interested in writing it the other day. So I showed her how to write each letter. Then, a few days later, she just wrote her name, unprompted.

sweet outfit. She has started picking her own outfits and getting herself dressed. They don't always match, but I'm so pleased that she wants to dress herself.

For the past 5 years or so, David has taken a personal day to watch March Madness with his cousin Scott. I think it's a fun tradition, even though I don't care about the basketball.

so handsome. selfies with daddy

We dyed Easter eggs for the first time in our home! Annika loved it, of course. We didn't let Benson get too close though.

Benson was intrigued and quite amused by the flash on Papi's camera. He made some pretty awesome faces in his excitement. :)

our finished products. We had lots of hard boiled egg lunches and snacks that week. Annika loved rolling and cracking the eggs open.
