Best News of the Year!

David got a job!!! After many prayers and much hard work, David received a phone call today. He was offered a teaching job in Othello. We are sooooooo relieved and estatic! He will be teaching in an 8th grade classroom at an alternative high school here in Othello. It's called ALPS (not sure what it stands for). He will teach all of the main subjects.
He was interviewed yesterday and he felt very good afterward. We were worried that he wouldn't be offered this position b/c we knew of other applicant(s) with teaching experience. I guess they just really liked David and saw his incredible potential.
I am so happy that he will have his own classroom, instead of subbing. David will be an awesome teacher. I am so proud of him and I look forward to seeing his success in the classroom.
I had an interview for an EA (educational assistant) last week. The guy in charge went out of town shortly after the interview, so I won't know if I have a final interview until after school starts. I was told not to worry about it though- so I'm trying not too.
I will also be attending CBC, a community college in Pasco. I'm taking 3 online classes and 1 that is one night/week. It will be a busy fall, but fall quarter is only 11 weeks long.
We found a 2 bedroom apt in town. It's across the park from Heather and Nathan. We just love their kids- and them. There are also tennis courts just across the street! It has been great living with my parents for the summer, but we're ready to have our own place. We are fortunate to have the means and opportunity to have our own space.
It's amazing to see things coming together. We are truly blessed.

  1. Congrats on the job! My mom works at ALPS and most of the time she likes it. :) It definitely has its challenges but can be really rewarding. I hope you get the EA job. Also what classes are you taking? What is your major?

  2. I wouldn't really call my classes fun. I am taking bioorganic chem, medical dosages, physiology and human development. The last of prereqs for nursing.I plan to start the nursing program next fall at the University of Utah but I am also applying to some other programs that start at different times.
